Position Details

Work Schedule
Position offers flexible work schedule options. Physicians can choose four (8a – 6p) or five (9a – 5p) day work weeks. Other flexible work schedule and part-time schedules may be possible.

Call Schedule
Adult medicine providers share outpatient calls with all adult medicine physicians in the organization. Call is taken one week at a time and usually results in 3 – 5 calls per week. Calls regarding pediatric patients are
triaged through the University of Kentucky; only extreme calls are forwarded to the pediatrician on call.
Neither adult nor pediatric providers prescribe pain medicine or antibiotics over the phone which greatly
limits the volume of calls.

Clinical Support Staff
Each physician will have 2 Clinical Support Members (CMA, LPN, etc.) working on the care team.
Community Health Workers to support care management and patient education are also being embedded
into care teams across the organization. Referral clerks, triage nurses, and other support staff are shared
across the provider teams.

Compensation

Resident Stipend & Sign-On Bonus
Residents signing a contract to work with White House Clinics will receive a generous  monthly stipend
through the completion of residency. Additional sign-on bonuses will also be paid 90 days prior to the physician’s start date.

Base Salary & Incentives
Physicians will receive a base salary based on outpatient practice location and hospital call obligations. The organization also provides opportunities for physicians to add incentive premiums to their salaries each
quarter. Incentive will increase the base salary by 6, 8, or 10 percent. The percentage increase will be
determined through evaluation of Quality, Productivity, Citizenship, and Patient Satisfaction.

Insurances

Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance
Policy is effective on the first of the month following one month of employment. The employer pays the
premium. Benefit equal to one times estimated annual compensation with a $10,000 minimum and $200,000 maximum benefit.

Long-Term Disability Insurance
Policy is effective on the first of the month following one month of employment. The employer pays the
premium. Benefit equal to 60 percent of pre-disability earnings with a maximum benefit of $10,000 per
month. Benefit becomes effective after 11 weeks of disability. Includes both partial and full disability. Pre-disability earnings may be reduced by income from other sources (SSI, worker’s comp, etc.).

Short-Term Disability Insurance
Policy is effective on the first of the month following one month of employment. The employer pays the
premium. Benefit equal to 60 percent of pre-disability earnings with a maximum benefit of $2,000 per week. Benefit becomes effective after 15 days of missed work. Pre-disability earnings may be reduced by income from other sources (SSI, etc.).

Health & Dental Insurance
Policies are effective on the first of the month following one month of employment. The employer pays up to $250 toward total health and dental premiums for employee and dependent(s). Premiums over and above this amount are paid by the employee through payroll deduction.

Paid Leave

Paid Time Off
All employees will receive four weeks (160 hours) of paid time off per year. Time will begin accruing on the
employee’s first day of work. The employee will accrue the 160 hours equally at each pay period (6.16 hours every two weeks). After five years of service, the employee will receive five weeks (200 hours) of paid time off. After ten years, the employee will receive six weeks (240 hours) of PTO per year. The additional hours will be awarded in equal per pay period accruals.

Paid Holiday Leave
All permanent, full-time employees are eligible for paid holiday leave upon hire and will receive 8 hours of
paid leave on the following 8 holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Christmas Eve (if it falls on a Monday-Thursday). Health Help, Inc. will observe recognized holiday falling on a Saturday the previous Friday. Recognized holidays falling on a Sunday will be observed the following Monday.

Professional Development

Professional Development Funds
Providers will receive 40 hours of paid leave for continuing medical education and $2,500 for practice related expenses. These benefits can be used for registration, travel, meals, course materials, and other reimbursable expenses related to a continuing education event or for expenses related to their practice with White House Clinics (license or DEA fees, professional society memberships, etc.). The employee’s account will be credited with the annual amount upon hire. Thereafter, professional development benefits will be credited to the employee’s account on his or her anniversary date. At no time will an employee’s professional development fund exceed two years worth of time (80 hours); however, if the provider’s reimbursement account exceeds $5,000, he or she may request the additional be paid out with his or her paycheck. Benefits not used at the termination of employment are forfeited; further details about eligible expenses, timelines, etc. are found in WHC Professional Development Fund policies.

Board Preparation
Board eligible physicians who are employed with White House Clinics in a full-time capacity may take up to
one week (40 hours) paid leave to prepare for and/or take boards. This benefit will be valid as long as boards are taken while the physician is an employee of White House Clinics. This one-time, non-recurring benefit must comply with existing standards for time off and have prior approval from the Medical Director.

Retirement Benefits

Health Help, Inc. 401(k)
Physician is eligible to begin contributing to the 401(k) plan at the first enrollment period after employment begins. Employer contributions begin upon the first enrollment period after employment begins. Employer matches 100% of Physician contributions up to two percent of compensation, plus 50% of Physician contributions over two percent of compensation but not over six percent of compensation. Contributions are forwarded to Physician’s Unified Trust account for individual investment choices. Physician is 100% vested in these Employer contributions after two years of service.

 

Malpractice & Loan Repayment

Malpractice Coverage
All providers receive malpractice coverage through the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) for services provided in White House Clinic’s scope of service. The provider has no cost for this coverage during employment and tail coverage isn’t required at the conclusion of employment.

Loan Repayment
All locations guarantee loan repayment through generous state and Federal programs. Availability of funds varies from year to year.
